Treating the Flu Through Telemedicine

The CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) has declared that the flu shot will only protect about half the reported cases of influenza due to the ineffectiveness of the shot in combatting the most dominant strain this year.

Seeking treatment upon the onset of symptoms shortens the duration of the illness, which is why more and more people have found telemedicine to be a stress-free way of handling sickness – and the flu is no exception. Additionally, board-certified medical providers can talk to patients who are at home, which not only prevents further spreading of germs, but is a major time saver for both parties involved.
