If you ask someone why they don’t work out, chances are they will tell you that they don’t have time. This is a common trend, because working out takes time in itself, but there’s also the preparation, cool down, and cleanup to consider with every work out. Even if you find a great 10-minute workout, it might not be easy to fit into your day if it leaves you drenched in sweat. It’s a frequent misconception that you need to break a sweat to see results from your workout, and the following exercises will prove that you can get fit without needing to shower before heading on to your other daily activities.

Mindful Stretching

When you want to feel fit without a heavy sweat, you might focus on flexibility. Active stretching—in which you engage multiple muscle groups to reach certain positions—will have you moving slowly but mindfully. You can increase your range of motion and flexibility to boost your results on days when you have time for a bigger workout, but you won’t walk away from a stretching session feeling too drained (or too drenched).

Static Strength Training

You don’t have to use heavy weights and seemingly endless reps to build muscle tone. In fact, you can achieve lean, sculpted muscles when you use resistance bands for static strength training. Staying in positions like squats, lunges, or pull-ups with your muscles continuously engaged will have you feeling the burn without the sweat. Plus, you will build tensile strength in your ligaments and tendons with static exercises, which will further improve your fitness.

Ab-Focused Toning

Focusing on your abdominal muscles will allow you to fit in a highly effective workout in just 5-10 minutes. A short but intense ab workout consisting of leg lifts, crunches, and plank positions will fire up your core but leave you ready to tackle the rest of your day.
