Employee burnout across the U.S. has reached a record high, sabotaging employee retention and satisfaction. Az Business tapped MeMD Clinical Director Chad Snyder, Ph.D., LPC, NCC, BC-TMH to discuss how teletherapy helps combat the burnout epidemic in an article for the magazine’s September/October issue.
Chad explained that burnout can manifest itself in feelings of overwhelm, lack of motivation and feelings of diminished accomplishment, which can spread throughout the workplace if not addressed. The first step in treating burnout, Chad says, is to ensure employees can recognize the signs and know where to go for help. When employees have a support network and access to resources to manage their mental health, they are happier, healthier and more productive.
