Low-Calorie Drinks for St. Patty’s Day

Sadly adding green dye to your beer doesn’t make it any healthier.
But don’t worry – you’re in luck! We’ve put together a list of some deliciously festive and low calorie drink options you can make this St. Patrick’s Day:
You’ll feel lucky when you realize this drink will only set you back 90 calories!
Lucky Mojito (90 Calories)
Ingredients
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. water
- 1 pinch fresh ginger
- 3 medium basil leaves
- 3 mint leaves
- Juice of half a lime
- 1 oz. white rum (or vodka)
- Club Soda
Preparation
- In the bottom of a Collins (or mixing glass) muddle sugar, water, herbs and lime juice
- Add rum (or vodka, if you prefer) and stir
- Top with crushed ice and club soda
- Garnish with a lime wheel
Who needs a four-leaf clover when you have one of these!?
Shamrock Martini (148 Calories)
Ingredients
- 1 oz. Midori melon liqueur
- 1 oz. melon vodka
- 1 oz. club soda
- Twist of lime
Preparation
- Place martini glass in freezer to chill
- Pour vodka, liqueur and club soda into a martini shaker halfway filled with ice
- Stir until well chilled (shaking a martini with club soda is not advisable)
- Pour into chilled glass and add lime garnish
Enjoy this 150 calories drink at your next fiesta!
Green Sangria (115 Calories)
Ingredients
- 1 bottle of Pinot Grigio
- 1 oz. Midori melon liqueur
- ½ Green Apple (cored and sliced)
- ½ lime (sliced)
- ¼ English cucumber (sliced)
- 10 mint leaves
- ½ kiwi (peeled and sliced)
- Club Soda (or diet lemon-lime soda or diet ginger ale)
Preparation
- Peel, core and slice your fruit as needed
- Combine all ingredients, except soda, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours and no more than 8 hours
- Spoon some of the fruit into a wine glass before pouring the wine
- Top-off with a splash of soda to taste
