Sarah Jacobs reports on MeMD, a healthcare solution that brings the doctor to you – online: Imagine logging on to talk with a physician over your lunch break, instead of taking 2-3 hours out of your day for a visit to the doctor’s office. MeMD (“Me-Em-Dee”) is a new healthcare technology that combines medicine with video conferencing.
You log in to MeMD.com, fill out a form with your medical history and symptoms, and in about 10-20 minutes, you’ll get a call from a licensed doctor for a virtual doctor’s visit. Ian Vasquez is the Chief Operating Officer, and he says that for now, they don’t accept insurance.
If you need a prescription for your sinus infection or sore throat, the physician can electronically send it to the pharmacy you choose. If the doctor suspects your condition might be more serious, you will be given a referral to another provider.
Reach the World. Giving Made Easy with Impact.
